Coming out of the Woodwork

I’ve been deeply heads down while working for a startup for the last year and a half. That stint is winding up so I will have a bit more time to be doing some blogging.

I’ve been doing a fair amount of work with Lowpro lately, so expect to see some posts about that in the near future.

subversion repositories unavailable

For now, subversion access to my plugins has been disabled. Hopefully this will be resolved shortly and these will become available again.

For now, if you need access, send me an email and I will send you a zip file of the plugin you require.

Thanks,
Kevin

New Toys

It’s been a busy month, lots of year end deadlines, lots of boxes to unpack from my recent move. I finally got around to doing a few things for myself. One of those things was to purchase a second monitor. In this case it was a Westinghouse 19w4 19″ widescreen (on sale at Best Buy). Not only does this thing let me run with dual heads, but I also use it to replace the 17″, 80 lbs CRT behemoth that was using half of my desk for the PC my kids use.

To make this a little easier, I picked up a Belkin Flip, which is easily the best and easiest KVM switch I have ever used. There seems to be a minor issue with my mac not quite recognizing the monitor when connected through it, but I’m working on that.

I also just won a copy of Hal Fulton’s ‘The Ruby Way’ at tonight’s Raleigh Ruby Meetup. Now I have something to read over the break. Perhaps I will also find time to review it as well.
